AERIAL DRONE
VIDEOGRAPHY
& PHOTOGRAPHY BRISBANE

Back in the day when we started All Is Light, to do any aerial photography meant hiring a fixed-wing aeroplane or a helicopter. As cool and fun as that was, for most it was simply too costly to be viable. Enter the age of drone videography. Boy how this changed everything. Today you can have photographs or aerial drone videography and for us, it’s pretty much as simple as using any other camera we own.

There are of course lots of rules and regulations to follow. We have all the necessary accreditations and insurances, but nonetheless, we can have a drone up in the air in a matter of minutes and capture stuff you couldn’t have dreamt of years ago.

That’s also where the drone really shines over the old-school method of using helicopters or planes. We can fly a drone one meter above the breaking waves on a beach or up a rocky waterfall. It can fly between crops on a field or just meters away from a newly completed building. The options are endless and it really adds an incredible dimension to your commercial videos and photography.

WE TAKE YOUR PHOTOS & VIDEOS TO GREAT HEIGHTS!

Here’s an insider tip – one of the keys to creating interesting and dynamic photos and videos is to show angles and views of the world that are unusual and not often seen. Most of us view the world from our physical height of anywhere between 1.5-2 meters. We are very familiar with this point of view, therefore, taking a photo from low on the ground can look really interesting and different. Of course, taking something from 50m in the air is dramatically different to what we are used to and is one of the reasons drone videography has soared (pun most definitely intended) in popularity in recent years. It’s why most people absolutely love seeing aerial drone video in their projects – it’s a different view of the world and it just looks so cool, plus it really adds production quality.

There are effectively 2 types of aerial drone work allowed in Australia. One is for lightweight drones that can operate in certain areas only, under restricted conditions. This covers most of the drone videography you will need for your projects. The second type is for flying larger drones in restricted areas such as airports or say, the Sydney Harbour bridge. For that type of commercial drone videography, you need a pilot who is CASA certified. That is a rigorous qualification to obtain, not dissimilar to getting a pilot’s licence, and our team at All Is Light includes a CASA certified drone pilot.

The thing is this, we offer a range of aerial videography and photography services. We can add the awesome flavour of drone videography to your projects and videos. We can film or photograph your buildings and infrastructure. We can go onsite and offer you a view that really increases the visual impact and dynamism of the story you’re telling. Everything looks better with some drone perspective added and we get to play with some awesome toys in the process – what’s not to love?
